Samsung is said to be launching a new pair of Level In headphones with the Galaxy S8 according to the most recent details. The next flagship device from Samsung is rumored to be announced on March 29th this year instead of at Mobile World Congress, and while the phone is already set to include a number of improvements and upgrades over the Galaxy S7, it’s now being stated that the phone will also launch alongside a new pair of wireless ANC headphones in Samsung’s Level lineup. These are being referred to as a new pair of Level In headphones and will be wireless with an active noise cancelling function to ensure better clarity due to the lack of incoming ambient noise that could otherwise disrupt the listening experience for the user.
At the moment there isn’t much detail about the headphones themselves other than the name, although there is also a rumored cost associated with the leak. It’s being suggested that the new Level In ANC Wireless headphones will cost €130, which means that Samsung will likely be launching these in Europe. What isn’t stated is an exact cost for the headphones in the U.S. market although it’s likely Samsung will launch them in the U.S. as well.
Having said that, €130 is around $140 USD, so the cost will probably fall relatively close to the rumored European price point. It’s also possible that Samsung could launch these in the U.S. at the same cost as the currently available model, which launched at a full retail cost of $150, although they can be found for quite a bit cheaper than that price now that they’re a bit older. As the name suggests, these are in-ear earbud style headphones but they’re wireless, whereas the last pair of Level In headphones were actually wired, so there is sure to be a bit of a different in the fit for some people. Without much detail on the new Level In headphones, it’s unclear whether these will be truly wireless like Samsung’s Gear IconX or if they’ll simply be wireless from the smartphone while retaining a wire that connects both earbuds together.
