Sleepace, a China-based company, has just introduced a new product at CES 2017 called the Nox Music. For those of you who don’t know, Sleepace is actually a company which specializes in manufacturing medical-grade sleep solution for your home. The company is currently selling a lineup of Smart Sleep Lights, and they’ve just added a new product to their portfolio. The Nox Music is a multi-functional device as it’s a smart alarm, a Bluetooth speaker, and a wake-up light.
The Nox Music resembles the Google Home speaker, there’s no doubt about that, though mainly because of the colors used here, the gray + white combination is definitely comparable to Google Home. In any case, the Nox Music has a far different purpose than the Google Home, while Google’s offering is trying to be your virtual assistant throughout the day, and help you get things done, the Nox Music has a few specific functions. The Nox Music will help you fall asleep by using its light and sound programs, and the smart alarm feature will help you wake up naturally. Sleepace says you should feel more rested throughout the day thanks to Nox Music’s smart alarm feature. The device supports gestures as well and you can control various functions of this device by using hand gestures. If you wave your hand, the LED light color will change, or you can use hand gestures to skip songs on your playlist. If you press and hold the right or the left side of the speaker for 2 seconds, you can dim the light or make it brighter. If you tap the speaker on the right side, you can increase the volume, while tapping it on the left will lower the volume.
The Nox Music speaker also acts as a sleep tracker, which is necessary in order for the device to wake you up naturally, as it will monitor your sleep and wake you up while you are in light sleep, not deep sleep. Due to its design, this speaker fits in more or less every bedroom, and its light has 16 million colors, while the battery is certified for more than 25,000 hours of service, so you should be able to use this speaker for quite some time before the battery dies on you. You can even use this speaker to charge your phone or tablet, as it comes with a USB port.
