SOTI's MobiControl Update 13.3 Adds Android Remote View

SOTI’s MobiControl update 13.3 adds the Remote View feature for Android for Work devices and introduces several other functionalities to this enterprise mobility management (EMM) solution, the Canadian company announced on Monday. The latest version of MobiControl is available for download from SOTI’s website, while its Android clients can be found on the Google Play Store. The EMM firm is offering a 30-day trial of its product that’s available as a subscription service, with prices starting at $4 monthly per device.

MobiControl version 13.3 improves the tool’s Remote View feature with Android support, meaning administrators can now remotely view their Android clients and consequently offer better remote support to users. The latest software update also boasts full integration with Zebra StageNow, an enterprise solution for deploying Android devices. Additionally, MobiControl now features support for Netmotion’s mobile virtual private networks (VPNs). The latest MobiControl update also introduces a number of Windows-related features detailed on SOTI’s website that can be accessed by following the link below. The Canadian company is hoping the latest update to its solution will both improve the overall user experience and solidify its position as one of the leading providers of EMM services in the world.

SOTI’s software was designed as a compilation of unified endpoint management (UEM) tools which allow companies to adopt a “bring your own device” (BYOD) approach to enterprise management. Instead of forcing their employees to switch to a secure phone they may not be familiar with, MobiControl is based around the idea of making the most out of employees’ personal devices. The tool was designed to be both safe and easily scalable and is specifically aimed at small and medium businesses not interested in traditional EMM solutions that are usually less flexible. The MobiControl desktop program can connect communicate with the company’s lineup of G Suite apps that are available for download from the Google Play Store. In addition to the general-purpose Android client, SOTI also developed a couple of specialized clients for devices from 100+ OEMs. The firm’s solution supports phones and tablets running Android 2.3 Froyo and newer, meaning it should work with virtually all contemporary devices.
