Allowing users to use the Google Assistant to control their devices. VIZIO also noted in their press release, that with Chromecast built-in, SmartCast devices will allow Google Home users to control their entertainment with their voice. For example, playing the next episode, playing a movie and more. Google Home users will also have the ability to play entertainment on their TV by having the “Quick Start Power Mode” enabled on their TV. VIZIO notes that the addition of Google Home support on SmartCast devices is going to give consumers the ability of added convenience with the Google Home voice control. Since users can simply say “Ok Google” and then followed by a command to play their favorite song, movie, TV show or even just ask it a question.

The SmartCast collection spans across VIZIO’s P-, M- and E-Series TVs and displays. Of course there are also a wide array of sound bars and standalone speakers that are available with Google Home integration now. Which are available at most major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and many others. Not to mention they are also available at VIZIO.com. Additionally, they hit all types of price points, so even if you have a little bit of cash, you’ll be able to pick one up with ease.

VIZIO launched SmartCast this past year, and has added Chromecast Built-In to their lineup, allowing users to Cast content from their smartphone to their TV with ease. Now with the addition of Google Home integration, it means that users will be able to use the Google Assistant on more devices, which is the end goal for Google with their Assistant. To get users to use the Google Assistant for just about everything. Despite Google Home and Google Assistant still being somewhat new, it’s great to see them gaining more and more support. There will be more products adding support for the Google Assistant in the future as well.
