The company has introduced this handset during their press conference in India, and this model is actually slightly different than the one that was announced in China a couple of months ago. This Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 variant is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 SoC, while the Chinese model comes with the Helio X20 processor by MediaTek. Other than then different SoC and different 4G LTE bands, these two devices are identical.

On the back of the Redmi Note 4, you’ll find a 13-megapixel shooter (PDAF, f/2.0 aperture), as well as a dual LED, dual-tone flash. A 5-megapixel snapper (f/2.0 aperture, 85-degree wide-angle lens) is placed on the front side of this smartphone, and a 4,100mAh battery is also included in this package. The Redmi Note 4 also packs in an infrared sensor, while Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the device. Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS is placed on top of Android, of course, and the Redmi Note 4 comes in Dark Gray and Gold color variants, while the Matte Black color will be available soon as well. The 2GB RAM (+32GB storage) variant of the device costs Rs. 9,999 ($147) in India, while the 3GB RAM (+32GB storage) model is priced at Rs. 10,999 ($161).
