ASUS has just announced yet another budget smartphone, the ASUS ZenFone Live. This is an entry-level smartphone, but it has some neat features up its sleeve, well, one feature in specific. ASUS claims that this is the world’s first smartphone that comes with real-time beautification, which is made possible through the live-streaming beautification app called BeautyLive. So, what does this mean? Well, it essentially means that it can remove blemishes from of your skin in real time, and also smooth your skin out, which is quite interesting. ASUS also mentioned that the BeautyLive app integrates with Facebook, YouTube and a number of other popular streaming apps without a problem.
This smartphone comes with three capacitive keys below the display, back, home and overview (multitasking) buttons. Its power / lock, volume up and volume down buttons are placed on the right, and the company’s branding lies on the back of this smartphone. The device features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass on top of it. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC fuels this smartphone, and we’re guessing that it’s from the company’s Snapdragon 400 series, as we’re looking at a budget quad-core processor here. The phone packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB of expandable storage, while a 2,650mAh battery is also a part of the package. A 13-megapixel snapper (f/2.0 aperture, 5p lens) is placed on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel camera (f/2.2 aperture, 1.4um pixel size, soft LED flash, 82-degree wide-angle lens) can be found on its front side. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the ZenFone Live, with the company’s Zen UI 3.5 skin on top of it. There are two nano SIM card slots available here, one of which you can use to expand this device’s internal storage. This phone does sport a 3.5mm headphone jack, while it also comes with dual microphones and a Smart Amplifier.
The ASUS ZenFone Live measures 141.2 x 71.74 x 7.95mm, while it weighs 130 grams. The device comes in Navy Black, Rose Pink and Shimmer Gold color variants, and it is made out of metal. ASUS still did not say when will the phone become available for purchase, nor did they reveal its price, we’ll just have to wait a bit longer in order to get more info, stay tuned.
