Bank of America Makes It Possible To Send/Receive Money with Anyone

The ability to send and/or receive money from other people is not a new feature for Bank of America, it’s a feature that most banks use already and users love it. But Bank of America just made it a bit easier to send or receive money with just about anyone. It now uses your phone’s contact list (of course, you need to give the app that permission first), to send or receive money. The app will now use your contacts list to get the person’s email address and notify them that you are either requesting money from them or sending money to them. It’s really not a huge change, it just makes things a bit easier all around.

This feature is pretty handy, especially if you went out with your friends and you paid the tab at the restaurant or wherever you went. You can then request the money from your friends through the Bank of America app and get paid. It’s pretty quick, even for those that don’t have Bank of America. It’s a great way to be able to split the bill, even after you’ve left the restaurant, which is always neat. The updated app also allows you to track your money requests, so you can see who you have requested money from and who has actually paid you. You can also see who you’ve sent money to.

Bank of America pushed this update to the Google Play Store (and Apple App Store for those on iOS) yesterday and the update should be available for everyone right now. There’s not much else that has changed in this version of Bank of America, the other changes listed in the changelog are actually bug fixes and performance improvements. Something that we see and expect to see with just about every app update. So the app should run a bit smoother now and you’ll be able to send or receive money even faster now. Bank of America has really done a lot of work on their Android app in recent months and even years, making it one of the better banking apps on the market right now.
