Customers in Quebec that may be looking at changing mobile providers now have a pretty sweet offer to consider from Bell. Canada’s fastest carrier is offering a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) promotion that will net new users 10GB of data for only $25 or 7GB of data for $17. There are a couple of caveats, the promotional offer will only be available for a limited time. So, if you’ve been on the fence about switching, now may be the time to jump on board with Bell.
There are some limitations to the promotion which must be addressed. The current promotion on offer from Bell is only going to be available to incoming customers from the province of Quebec. It should also be noted that customers will need to purchase province or nationwide calling as part of the promotion. Currently, the carrier offers 300 minutes or unlimited calling province-wide for $45 or $50 respectively. Unlimited nationwide calling costs $55. This offer also presumably only applies to new customers. Finally, bear in mind that the plan is BYOD. That means customers will have to bring their own device as part of the deal, which could end up costing extra for some users in some circumstances. Restrictions aside, when you add in the $25 cost for data the total cost only tallies up to around $80, plus tax, for unlimited nationwide calling. A comparable plan in Ontario costs roughly $120, so this deal effectively represents a $40 in savings. Further devices can be added to create a shared plan with this promotion as well and any additional devices on a plan will cost the same as with other shared plans at $40 per month, per extra device. That means that costs associated with the current promotion save just enough cash that a second device can be added for a total that is much more in line with the cost of a single device on the same plan in Ontario!
It is, however, worth repeating that the offer outlined here is only for a limited time and there is no specific date set for when the offer will expire. It may just be that you’d planned on waiting for the arrival of the Moto G5 before making the leap to another carrier, but that could cost you a really good offer on data from Bell.
