Best Android Apps – Dating – February 2017

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, if you’re single and looking for a date then there are a number of apps on the Play Store that can serve the purpose of finding someone for your to spend your evening with, even if you’re looking for that date to potentially turn into multiple dates that go beyond Valentine’s. With that said it can be hard to choose which dating app might be the best for you, so here’s a list of ten apps that may be worth checking out.

Moco – Chat, Meet People

Kicking off this list is an app called Moco. While this is an app designed to meet people and date, it’s more than just chatting with other users to meet up with as it offers a way to connect through playing games as well. You can also chat in groups or just chat with one other person. The app also lets you see people that are using it nearby so you can chat and meet local users.

eHarmony

eHarmony needs no introduction in the world of online dating. It boasts one of the most comprehensive and accurate matching systems as it factors in plenty of details about you and your personality and then uses those to match you up with others based on your preferences and criteria. The app will offer up matches to you on a daily basis and if you see someone that interests you you can send them a smile to let them know you’re interested.

Happn

Happn takes a slightly different approach than most other dating apps. It’s essentially a mobile dating app for missed connections and lets you see people that your cross paths within in real life. You’ll end up seeing user profiles pop up whenever you cross paths with someone, and the more times times your paths cross you can use that as a sign that perhaps you should meet up and connect. Conversations will only happen when both users like each other, so there’s no awkwardness from receiving messages from users if you didn’t initially show any interest.

Match

This is the official dating app for Match.com which boasts a lively and fairly large community of users. You can use the Match app to browse through singles that are local and nearby and it will send you daily matches curated to your personal details. The app also now supports Android Wear and you can use voice commands to exchange messages with other users.

OkCupid

OkCupid isn’t shy about mentioning their use of math to find you the best possible matches, and if you’re looking for someone that is the most compatible with you then you may want to give Match a try. You can browse through profiles and view photos of other users, see nearby matches, and the app even has a few advanced search features to help you really narrow down your possibilities.

WannaMeet Power

While sometimes you might be looking for nothing more than a date, if you’re looking for someone that you find genuinely interesting WannaMeet Power is an app that can help. While the app does let you see nearby matches, you can also browse people from other places too so the app isn’t limited to just your local area.

Coffee Meets Bagel

Coffee Meets Bagel is another popular mobile dating offering that has sprung up in recent years, and it’s focus is on providing users with a way to meet people that are looking for a serious relationship and not just a date or two. Coffee Meets Bagel weeds out anything that isn’t the most high quality match based on your personality and interests, and it sends the matches that are left to you at noon every single day. Once you and another person show interest, then the app connects you to chat so you can plan a meet up.

PINK

PINK is a newer option for mobile dating apps compared to many of the others, but it’s already got a fairly high rating and quite a few users. Like some of the other options you’ll receive daily matches, and if you like them and they like you back you’re connected and can chat with each other and decide whether or not to meet up. The app also caters to their privacy of their users and doesn’t reveal things like location or other personal information.

Bumble

Bumble works similar to Tinder in that you can browse through nearby matches and you can swipe left or right on the ones you like and dislike, but it’s a bit different in that women have control over who starts the conversation. Guys can show interest, but they can send messages until they’re given the go ahead.

Tinder

Last but certainly not least is Tinder. Famous for their massive number of users and the amount of popularity with many of them, Tinder is perhaps one of the easier apps to use for finding a date, and if a date is the only thing you’re looking for then Tinder is a good option to check out. Swipe left or right to show interest in matches, send messages to chat with others, and you can even plan group meet ups with three other users and two of your friends with the Tinder Social feature.
