BLUBOO Dual's Fingerprint Sensor Can Also Control Music & Video

The BLUBOO Dual is one of the latest smartphones to come from BLUBOO and its unique selling point is that it comes boasting a rear dual camera setup. As such, while being an affordable smartphone, this is also one which looks to offer a heightened camera user experience and the ability to create DSLR-like images. However, the dual camera functionality is only one of the features on offer with this smartphone. While being affordable, the BLUBOO Dual also comes boasting a fingerprint sensor and this is no ordinary fingerprint sensor, as in addition to the security-driven benefits, this fingerprint sensor also acts as a hotkey for various other features.

While fingerprint sensors are typically designed to offer an increased level of security, they can be tuned to offer more. Which is the case with the BLUBOO Dual as the fingerprint sensor also allows you to control various aspects of audio playback. For instance, while playing music, the user can tap the fingerprint sensor on the BLUBOO Dual to go back to the previous track. Likewise, short tapping can also play and pause music, while double tapping will skip forward to the next track. Long presses also offer additional functionality, including the ability to take photos or screenshots quickly, answer calls and/or head back to the main home screen as and when needed. One of the real benefits of this added fingerprint functionality is that you do not necessarily need to register each fingerprint to make use of these features. While you do for security purposes, tapping the sensor with any finger will activate the above-mentioned audio controls. In fact, BLUBOO has released a new video which details how the added sensor features work, which you can check out, below.

Fingerprint sensor aside, the BLUBOO Dual is a smartphone which comes equipped with a 5.5-inch display that offers an FHD resolution. Inside, you can expect to find 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a MediaTek MTK6737 processor (clocking at 1.5 GHz) powering the show. Cameras come in the form of a 13-megapixel primary rear camera, along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. This is in addition to the 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Additional features include expandable storage (up to 256GB), a 3,000 mAh capacity battery, and more.
