Galaxy S8 & LG G6 Surface Yet Again With Crystal Clear Cases

Evan Blass aka @evleaks has shared yet another interesting image via Twitter. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see the alleged Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 smartphones, along with what seems to be their crystal clear cases made out of silicone. Along with this image, @evleaks shared this caption: “It’s never too early to start shopping for cases for your next phone(s)”.

Let’s kick things off with the LG G6, shall we. Based on the LG G6’s design here, this leak could even be legit, as this is a design of the phone that we’ve seen a number of times thus far. Pretty much every LG G6 leak that had surfaced in the last couple of weeks had shared this particular design, so chances are this is what you can expect LG to announce on February 26th. As you can see, the device will sport extremely thin bezels all around, which represents a considerable difference compared to its predecessor, the LG G5, which sported rather thick bezels, especially above and below the display. The LG G6 will be made out of metal, and as you can see, the phone will ship with two cameras on the back, and in between them lies a dual-LED flash. The phone’s fingerprint scanner is also placed on the back, and the two volume rocker keys are located on the left-hand side of the LG G6. The provided image also allows you to take a sneak peak at LG’s custom UI, though LG already teased this UI via an official video.

The LG G6 will sport a 5.3-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display which will come with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The LG G6 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 821 64-bit quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. Two 13-megapixel cameras will be placed on the back of the LG G6, and chances are we’ll get an 8-megapixel shooter up front, though it is also possible LG will opt for a 16-megapixel camera, we’ll see. Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on the LG G6, and on top of it you’ll get LG’s custom UI. A Type-C USB port will be placed on the bottom of the phone, and the LG G6 will ship with a Quad DAC for audio.

The Galaxy S8 on the other hand, will also sport really thin bezels all around, along with a curved display on both its left and right side. The Galaxy S8 seemingly has even thinner bezels than the LG G6, and features a fingerprint scanner on the back as well, though its fingerprint scanner is placed right next to the rear-facing camera sensor. The Galaxy S8, based on this image, will sport four physical home keys, the power / lock key on the right, volume up and volume down keys on the left, and right below them the dedicated ‘Bixby’ AI button. The Galaxy S8 will probably launch on March 29th, though Samsung will confirm its launch date during this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC).

The Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inch display, while its larger sibling, the Galaxy S8 Plus will ship with a 6.2-inch panel. The Galaxy S8 will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 SoC, though it is possible that Samsung opts to release an Exynos-powered model as well, at least if recent leaks are to be believed, while the company also teased the ‘Exynos 9’ chip recently. The Galaxy S8 will sport a QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display, and it will come with Android 7.0 Nougat with a custom UI on top of it.
