The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus images have been leaking like crazy thus far, and a new one has just surfaced. If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, though truth be told, this is not the clearest image that we’ve seen thus far, but it might be one of the first real life images that is showing both devices side-by-side.
This design actually goes hand-in-hand with a number of other leaks that surfaced thus far, which suggests that this is the final design of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. As you can see, the two phones are identical in terms of the design, though the Galaxy S8 Plus is somewhat larger. If this image is to be believed, the Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inch display, while the Galaxy S8 Plus will ship with a 6.2-inch panel. These display dimensions are nothing new, actually, a number of rumors already suggested that the two devices will ship with such large displays. As you can see, both devices sport really thin bezels all around, and their displays feature rounded corners. The power / lock key is placed on the right-hand side of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, while the volume rocker keys and the ‘Bixby’ AI button are located on the left. As you can see, displays are turned on here, well, kind of, this seems to be Samsung’s ‘Always On’ mode, or something of the sort, where only some pixels on the display are lit up. You’ll notice what seems to be an on-screen home button on the bottom of the display in the provided image, which suggests we’ll see on-screen buttons on these two phones, though that was to be expected. Speaking of which, yesterday’s Galaxy S8 leak actually showed us the on-screen back button, so the only thing that’s missing at the moment is the overview (multitasking) key.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will probably launch on March 29th, though Samsung will announce the exact launch date during their press conference at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, which kicks off soon. The two devices will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and will be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC. It is possible that Samsung plans to release an Exynos variant of these two phones as well, as the company had teased their ‘Exynos 9’ chip quite recently, and if rumors are to be believed, it will be called the Exynos 9810.
