Kairosoft's 8-Bit Farm Now Available On Android Devices

Kairosoft, a well-known Japanese mobile game developer just launched its latest creation titled 8-Bit Farm. The game started rolling out worldwide on Thursday and should already be available for purchase from the Google Play Store globally. Priced at $4.99, 8-Bit Farm allows players to build and micromanage a virtual farm. As its name suggests, the game features 8-bit graphics which have been a hallmark of Kairosoft’s mobile portfolio for many years.

Generally speaking, 8-Bit Farm is similar to Kairosoft’s previous games in virtually every aspect, as the Japanese studio simply integrated its popular management sim formula into a farm setting. You start the game as a poor farmer and are expected to build a virtual empire from the ground up by making smart investments and taking care of your digital assets. 8-Bit Farm also features a visitor system as players are able to attract tourists who will then spend money while visiting their farm. The better and more numerous your facilities and animals are, the longer your visitors will stick around, meaning they’ll have more time to spend money. Naturally, you’ll use that money to further improve your agricultural empire and repeat that entire process ad infinitum until you’re a wealthier farmer than Harry Stine is or you simply get bored. If Kairosoft’s previous games are any indication, the latter scenario is unlikely. So, if growing crops and raising cattle sounds like your idea of a good time but you dislike games featuring premium currency, timers, and other contemporary methods of monetization, 8-Bit Farm will likely be right up your alley. Even if it isn’t, you can always get your money back from Google if you uninstall the game within two hours of purchasing it.

Like all of Kairosoft’s previous premium Android games, 8-Bit Farm requires a one-time fee and has no other in-app purchases. This mobile management sim is compatible with virtually all smartphones and tablets running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and further and isn’t resource intensive, meaning you can enjoy a seamless gameplay experience even on low-end Android devices. Finally, unlike many contemporary Android games, 8-Bit Farm asks for no shady permissions and can even be played without an Internet connection.
