LG G6 With All-Metal Case, Waterproof Design Teased By LG

The LG G6 was once again teased by LG as the company launched a website prompting consumers to sign up for a dedicated newsletter and be among the first ones who’ll find out the official details about its upcoming Android flagship. The website reveals that the LG G6 will feature an all-metal case and a waterproof design, in addition to featuring an allegedly impressive camera and a contemporary fingerprint scanner. The company’s new site dedicated to the LG G6 doesn’t confirm any more details about the upcoming smartphone, but you can see it for yourself by following the source link below.

Numerous leaks and previous rumors suggest that the LG G6 will feature a 5.7-inch QHD+ display panel with an 18:9 aspect ratio and be powered by the Snapdragon 821 system-on-chip (SoC) and 4GB / 6GB of RAM. The Seoul-based tech giant opted to use Qualcomm’s 2016 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 835 as the latter is currently in short supply due to the fact that Samsung is stockpiling it for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus, recent reports suggest. Seeing how Samsung’s rival is adamant to beat the Galaxy S8 to the market with the LG G6, it opted to use the Snapdragon 821 instead of waiting until spring to launch the device. LG believes that timing is one of the main reasons why the LG G5 wasn’t a commercial success as industry insiders previously said that the company thinks its modular flagship was late to the market last year. As for other features, the LG G6 will almost certainly run Android Nougat out of the box with the company’s UX 6.0 on top.

The South Korean phone maker already confirmed it will unveil its latest and greatest flagship in the run-up to this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) as the firm scheduled a press conference on Sunday, February 26. It remains to be seen whether LG’s upcoming flagship will be a hit among consumers, but the company is certainly hoping it will seeing how its mobile division has been bleeding money for several years now and is in dire need of a product that will help it improve its financial performance. In any case, more details on the LG G6 will follow by Sunday.
