In spite of tablets seemingly on the decline, Lenovo announced four new tablets this week at MWC 2017. Although there are four, they are in effect, four of the same type of tablet with the main notable differences being that there are two 8-inch tablets and two 10.1-inch tablets. With each sized tablet coming with its own “Plus” model which offers an upgraded resolution, greater storage level, larger RAM, USB Type-C connectivity and a fingerprint scanner.
Those differences aside though and the four tablets are clearly part of the same family and this can be best seen in their design as the tablets do look very similar to each other, sport the same design build, quality and general level of presentation. Which does mean that this is a range of tablets that is largely looking to cater to individual specific needs. So for instance, if you’re more after a video-consumption device, then the Lenovo Tab 4 10 Plus is likely to be the best option for you, due to its larger screen size, greater resolution and heightened storage. While if you are looking for more of a child-friendly option, than the Lenovo Tab 4 8 is likely to be the best option. In fact, along with the actual four tablets, Lenovo introduced two new ‘packs’ which are further designed to offer better individual customization. These packs include a kids pack and a productivity pack. The first offers a case which adds various protections to the tablet. While the second is more of a keyboard accessory that allows you to get more work done with the tablet – if that is what you are more interested in when it comes to a tablet.
While the fours tablets, the Lenovo Tab 4 8, Lenovo Tab 4 10, the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, and the Lenovo Tab 4 10 Plus, have now been announced, they won’t actually become available to buy until May of this year. In terms of the cost, their prices range from as low as $109 for the for the Lenovo Tab 4 8 and up to $249 for the Lenovo Tab 4 10 Plus.
