Thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform, the Omate O4VC takes advantage of always connected features and Omate adds that its collaboration with Qualcomm has opened up “possibilities for new experiences through Wearable-as-a-Service” or WaaS. According to the company, WaaS consists of services tailored for companies operating in a variety of segments including enterprise as well as market areas focused more on kids and elders. In any case, the Omate O4VC will launch in June 2017 in the United States for the price of $149 and will be available exclusively through Omate’s partners. The press release also states that “associated services” will be made accessible through several insurance companies and mobile network starting September 2017.
