OUKITEL has been releasing a number of new smartphones of late and one of which was the OUKITEL C5 Pro. Following on from that release, OUKITEL has now announced another variant and this one is the OUKITEL C5.
Generally speaking, much of what is on offer with the OUKITEL C5 Pro is also on offer with the new OUKITEL C5. However, one significant difference is that the new model is designed to be a 3G smartphone with network compatibility listed as 2G (850/900/1800/1900) and 3G (WCDMA 900/1900//2100). As a result, the newer OUKITEL C5 comes equipped with a MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor, in contrast to the OUKITEL C5 Pro’s MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor. Another difference that is worth mentioning is the operating system. The OUKITEL C5 Pro currently comes running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box although OUKITEL has confirmed that they are committed to updating the OUKITEL C5 Pro to Android 7.0 (Nougat) in due course. In contrast, the new OUKITEL C5 will come running with the Android Nougat out of the box.
Other than those two aspects, much of the rest is the same. So you can expect an almost identical design with the OUKITEL C5 adopting the same presentation and look as the OUKITEL C5 Pro. The rest of the specs are also the same with the OUKITEL C5 coming equipped with 5-inch display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. OUKITEL does note that the display has been toughened to offer an anti-smash level of protection and this in addition to the textured back and an aluminum metal alloy body. Inside you will find 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and the already mentioned MT6580 quad-core processor. Cameras on offer include an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. While additional features include dual-SIM support, the option to expand the storage when needed, and a 2,000 mAh battery. Although OUKITEL has now announced the OUKITEL C5, it is not due to become available to pre-order until later in the month and at present, there are no firm details on what the likely price of this latest smartphone will be.
