The Sprint HTC 10 is now receiving the jump to Android 7.0 Nougat. This news comes after a Twitter user who goes by the name hoang555, posted an image of the changelog on the social media website. The software update which comes with the software version 2.42.651.6, is pretty big in size, coming in at 1.3GB. While the full changelog isn’t available at the moment, it can be seen from the provided image that the update package comes with Android 7.0 Nougat, and the update will also provide some system enhancements to the HTC 10 on the Sprint network.
Sprint nor HTC has confirmed the release of the Android 7.0 Nougat update, but multiple users on the XDA forum have reported receiving the update on their device. The Android 7.0 Nougat update is being pushed as an OTA update and if you are using a HTC 10 on the Sprint network, you should receive a notification prompt to download the latest software update. If you haven’t received the said prompt, you may manually check to see if the update is ready for your device. In order to do so, simply head to Settings and proceed to tap on System Updates. Once doing so, tap on HTC Software Update, and the update should appear if it is indeed ready for download. It is advisable to have at least 35 percent battery on your device before attempting the installation of the software, and also have it connected to a charger. It is recommended to download the Android 7.0 Nougat update using a Wi-Fi connection, to avoid using up your mobile data. Besides the HTC 10, the HTC One A9 on Sprint, received Android 7.0 Nougat last week.

Powering the device is a Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with an Adreno 530 GPU to handle graphics. On the back sits a 12-megapixel camera, with optical image stabilization (OIS) as well as dual-LED flash and laser autofocus. Selfies are handled by a 5-megapixel camera which also comes with OIS. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/a/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and many others. The 3,000mAh battery encased in this device can be charged via micro USB Type-C and a fingerprint scanner can be found embedded in the home button of the HTC 10.
