Xiaomi Unveils A Special Edition Redmi Note 4X Smartphone

Xiaomi has just introduced the Redmi Note 4X smartphone that had leaked several times in the last week or so. Now, we were wondering why is the Redmi Note 4X more or less identical to the Redmi Note 4 in terms of specs and the design, and now we have our answer, the Redmi Note 4X is actually not a regular smartphone, it’s a special edition handset. Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Note 4X Hatsune Miku special edition handset in China, read on.

For those of you who don’t know, Hatsune Miku is actually a vocal synthesizer application for Windows and Mac OS platforms. The Redmi Note 4X actually comes with a limited edition Mi Power Bank and a soft protective case printed with Hatsune Miku character, while the phone has a unique code along with Hatsune Miku’s signature on the back. Now, in terms of the design and specifications, this smartphone is identical to the Redmi Note 4, but it comes in two new colors, Hatsune Green and Cherry Pink. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X Hatsune Miku Special Edition smartphone sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) 2.5D curved glass display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 4,100mAh battery is included on the inside. This battery is not removable, and you do get fast charging as part of this package as well. A 13-megapixel snapper is placed on the back of this smartphone, while a 5-megapixel shooter is placed on the phone’s front side. Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this smartphone, and on top of it, you’ll get Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS. There are two SIM card slots available inside of this smartphone (micro + nano SIM), and you can use one of them to expand this phone’s storage using a microSD card. There is a fingerprint scanner placed on the back of this handset, and an IR sensor is available at the very top of the device.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X Hatsune Miku Special Edition comes in Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold, Matte Black, Hatsune Green and Cherry Pink color variants, while it will go on sale in China on February 14th, on Valentine’s Day. The price of this smartphone is still unknown, and chances are that it will remain that way until February 14th. So, is Xiaomi planning to release a regular Redmi Note 4X variant? Well, considering that this phone is identical to the Redmi Note 4, the company really has no reason to do that, but we’ll see what will happen.
