Adidas' New 'ALL DAY' App Delivers A 360 Approach To Fitness

Adidas new ‘ALL DAY’ app was designed to deliver a 360 approach to fitness and help users promote healthy behaviors so they can integrate these behaviors into their everyday lifestyle. The app is inspired by sport and puts a focus on four different elements that are crucial to athletic performance, which include movement, nutrition, mindset, and rest. Broken down, each of these elements can be more easily understood when you use them to pinpoint what they’re actually targeting. Movement focuses on exercise while nutrition promotes healthier eating habits, but just as important are the other two elements, as mindset promotes staying focused on the details of your day ahead, while rest is an important factor in allowing your body to recharge its fuel so you can wake up the next day feeling refreshed and just as ready to take the day on as you were the day before.

Adidas worked with leading experts in each of these four areas including ACSM, Alphebt Inc’s Verily, and EXOS, so that the app can suggest daily ideas to users on how they can best put each of these elements into action. For example, when you wake up in the morning and you open up the app, you can see things from your day at a glance and some of these listed suggestions might include things like doing Yoga or preparing a healthy breakfast to give you energy for the day.

Later on, you might have a suggestion for meditating to help you clear your mind so you can stay focused on your day’s remaining tasks. The app lists these suggestions as Discoveries, and each discovery offers up visual aids and descriptions of what to do. With a nutrition discovery for example, your meal suggestion will have detailed recipe instructions and even helpful videos or images to show you how things are done, and at the very end of the day when you’re ready to get to sleep so you can rest and recharge, the app offers up sleep sounds to help you get to sleep more easily. As of right now ALL DAY isn’t available for download as Adidas is planning to launch it for both Android an iOS later this Summer, but they are currently accepting signups for their limited closed beta program for users that are interested in checking it out.
