Evernote's New Update Simplifies & Improves Note Sharing

Evernote has started sending out a new update that simplifies and improves note sharing through their application. With the new sharing tool, which you’ll find with its own icon at the top of the app UI in the right-hand corner, anything you save into Evernote can be shared with outside apps like email clients, chat apps, text apps and more. Evernote highlights that with this new tool you won’t have to open up whatever app you want to share a note with as the tool gives you quick and easy access to share your notes virtually anywhere.

Now when you tap the share tool to send a note to someone else, you’ll be presented with the first option which is to share the note with another Evernote user by entering in their email address and if you want to you can add on an optional message to go along with it. The other option will be presented just below the in-app sharing, labeled as “share another way,” and here is where you’ll have the ability to share with a variety of outside apps, including Slack, which lets you choose the specific channel to share it with. This improved sharing is to make it easier for Evernote users to share their saved notes with others even if those people don’t use Evernote themselves.

Additionally the changes to sharing now make it easier for you to locate notes which have been shared with you by other users. From the main home screen within the application, simply tap on the hamburger menu and you should see an option that will be labeled as shared, and inside this page is where you’ll find any note that’s been shared with you, all organized neatly with date and time information so you can still find things quickly without having to scroll through everything. Evernote has even added filtering and sorting options here so you can sort things by dates, names of the notes, or the title, and you can filter things by notes or notebooks. This update should already be live with the new sharing changes available to anyone whether you’re an existing Evernote user or planning on giving it a try.
