The Google Store never seems to keep smartwatches around too long, they seem to only highlight them for a short time, then remove them in favor of other models. Typically when a model is removed, however, it signals that a newer model is on the way. And now that the Michael Kors Access line of smartwatches have been removed, we may be looking at some new smartwatches coming out in the very near future from Michael Kors, or more specifically Fossil, since they manufacture those smartwatches.
If you do own the Michael Kors Access Bradshaw or Dylan smartwatches, that doesn’t mean you won’t be getting any more updates. Actually it’s quite the opposite. Both smartwatches are on the lengthy list of those that will be getting the update to Android Wear 2.0 in the coming weeks. Specs on smartwatches haven’t really changed that much in the past year or so, which means that these smartwatches still boast basically the high-end specs that you’ll find in most other smartwatches. They are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor and that’s paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage.
Now Google hasn’t given a reason as to why these smartwatches were removed, but it’s likely just some spring cleaning going on here, and with many new smartwatches coming out in the next few weeks, they are going to need some room in the store for these. That includes the Huawei Watch 2 and Huawei Watch 2 Classic, both of which were actually announced in Barcelona last week and are due to be available in some countries this month, with other countries following in April. The Michael Kors Access smartwatches are some of the better looking smartwatches available, and that’s likely due to the fact that they are made by traditional watch makers, instead of a technology company like Motorola, Huawei or Samsung.
Those that are still interested in the Michael Kors Access Bradshaw or Dylan smartwatches, Amazon does still have them available for purchase, they haven’t really dropped in price yet – which is a bit surprising – but they should in the very near future.
