UMIDIGI seems to be working on a Xiaomi Mi MIX look-alike. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see two leaked images of UMIDIGI’s allegedly upcoming smartphone, the UMIDIGI C Note, as our source claims it will be called. This smartphone is a spitting image of the Xiaomi Mi MIX, at least from the front, if you flip it over, it looks more like the Huawei Mate 9, than the Xiaomi Mi MIX. This essentially means that it has no bezels above the display, or on its sides, though the phone’s display is not on, so we cannot say how thick are its black bars, if they’re there at all.
Based on the provided info, the UMIDIGI C Note will be made out of metal, and as you can see, its fingerprint scanner will be placed on the back. Speaking of the back of this device, you’ll be able to find a dual camera setup there, and in between the phone’s main cameras and the fingerprint scanner lies an LED flash sensor. Unfortunately for us, that is pretty much all the info that we have for the time being, our source did not provide any spec info, or anything of the sort when it comes to this smartphone, we don’t even know when will it launch. One thing is for sure, though, this smartphone will be considerably smaller than the Xiaomi Mi MIX, as it looks considerably more compact in the hand, which is easily noticeable if you take a look at the images down below. The Xiaomi Mi MIX comes with a 6.4-inch display, and this phone will definitely sport a smaller display than that, it seems to be smaller than 6 inches.
Based on UMIDIGI’s previous offerings, we do believe this handset will be fueled by one of MediaTek’s chips. UMIDIGI will opt either for the Helio X30 flagship SoC, or perhaps something from the company’s mid-range line, the Helio P25 maybe. This handset will probably ship with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and it will almost certainly pack in a microSD expansion slot as well. Android 7.0 Nougat will probably come pre-installed on this smartphone, and its power / lock, volume up and volume down buttons are placed on the left side of its body. UMIDIGI will probably release some official UMIDIGI C Note info soon, so stay tuned for that, we’ll report back as soon as possible.
