HMD Global, a company behind the Nokia brand at the moment, has confirmed that their Nokia Android-based smartphones will launch in 120 markets, simultaneously. HMD Global shared this info with the source, and it’s quite interesting that they opted to release their phones in so many markets at the same time, hopefully, they’ll have enough stock. That being said, it was confirmed earlier that the device will become available in the second quarter of this year.
“HMD has ambitious plans to release Nokia 3, 5 and 6 in 120 markets at the same time in Q2 2017. This is ambitious because HMD is de facto a start-up, though it has support from Nokia and Foxconn,” said HMD Global. Now, in addition to all this, we now also know that these phones will reach India at the end of May or in early June, and the Nokia 3310 (a non-Android phone) could arrive a bit sooner. It was also confirmed that the devices will be available in India through both online and offline channels, just in case you were wondering. That being said, we also know how much will these handsets cost. The Nokia 3 will be priced at €139, the Nokia 5 will set you back €189, while you’ll have to splash out €229 for the Nokia 6, which is currently the most powerful Android-based, Nokia-branded smartphone. Nokia has announced the Nokia 3, 5 and 3310 during this year’s Mobile World Congress, while the Nokia 6 arrived back in January, but its global availability was announced at MWC 2017 as well. As already mentioned, the Nokia 6 is the most powerful Android-based, Nokia-branded smartphone, even though it’s not exactly a high-end device, not by a long shot. This phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 430 SoC, comes with 3GB / 4GB of RAM and sports a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display. Android Nougat comes pre-installed on the Nokia 6, and the device features a 3,000mAh non-removable battery, which comes with fast charging.
