Rumor: LeEco's Le Pro4 Flagship To Land On April 11 With AI

According to a newly-surfaced rumor, the LeEco Le Pro4 will launch on April 11. This information comes from Weibo (Chinese social network), and in addition to the announcement date of the device, the source also says that the phone will sport a dual camera setup on the back. On top of that, a user who shared this info with us, also said that the phone will ship with some sort of Artificial Intelligence (AI) software installed on the device, probably LeEco’s all-new AI assistant, or something of the sort.

The source did reveal some info about the device in his post, but he also mentioned that dual camera setups will become a standard moving forward, even though some OEMs still don’t use them, like Samsung, for example. Now, the source also shared an image with their post, but that image is not exactly new, so we can’t consider it to be a leak of some sort, as it surfaced last year with a number of other shots, and it’s probably not the LeEco Le Pro4. Now, the company recently introduced the LeEco Le Pro3 Elite Edition (earlier this month), and the LeEco X650 surfaced on AnTuTu with the Helio X20 64-bit deca-core SoC, but that’s almost certainly not the LeEco Le Pro4, it is possible that is the LeEco Le 3 or Le 4, though. The LeEco Le Pro4 is expected to pack in a more powerful SoC, and the same goes for the rest of its specifications, actually.

The LeEco Le Pro4 will probably ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, at least some earlier rumors suggested it will, though the question is, will LeEco be able to secure enough Snapdragon 835 units in order to include that chip in the LeEco Le Pro4. Samsung picked up a whole initial batch of Snapdragon 835 chips, and a number of other OEMs are planning to introduce smartphones with this chip as well, Sony already did. So, it is possible that the Helio X30 might fuel the LeEco Le Pro4, but we’ll see. This handset will also include at least 4GB of RAM, though it is possible that LeEco might opt for 6GB of RAM in the end. The phone will probably be made out of metal, and we’re expecting to see less bezel compared to the LeEco Le Pro3.
