The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is finally official. Samsung has just introduced this mid-range smartphone in China after weeks of various leaks. The Galaxy C5 Pro is a metal-clad smartphone which resembles the company’s previous devices quite a bit, and it comes with a physical home key which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. This phone’s camera protrudes a bit on the back, and there are three physical keys on the sides of the Galaxy C5 Pro. On the left, you’ll notice the volume up and volume down buttons, while a power / lock key is present on the right. The dual LED, dual tone flash lies next to the phone’s rear-facing camera, and the company’s branding is present on both the front and back sides of this smartphone.
As already mentioned, the Galaxy C5 Pro is a mid-range smartphone, it is fueled by the Snapdragon 626 14nm 64-bit octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz, along with the Adreno 506 GPU for graphics processing. A 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED panel is included here, and a 2,600mAh non-removable battery is also a part of the package, and it offers fast charging. A 16-megapixel shooter is placed on both the front and back sides of this smartphone, and both of those sensors come with f/1.9 aperture. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the Galaxy C5 Pro, which is a bit odd, as consumers expected Android Nougat out of the box, but there you have it. On top of Google’s operating system you’ll be able to find Samsung’s very own UI, as per usual, and this phone offers two SIM card slots (2 x nano SIM), one of which you’ll be able to use in order to expand this device’s internal storage via a microSD card.
On the bottom of the Galaxy C5 Pro, you’ll be able to find a Type-C USB port, and a bottom-firing speaker. This handset also packs in NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and it comes in Gold, Blue and Rose Gold color variants. The Galaxy C5 Pro measures 145.7 x 71.4 x 7mm, while it weighs 145 grams. The device is priced at 2,499 Yuan ($360), and it is already available for pre-order in China. The phone will become available for purchase later this month, though we still don’t know when exactly.
