Vernee has just announced yet another smartphone, the Vernee Apollo X. Some of you might recall that we’ve reviewed the Vernee Apollo Lite last year, and the Vernee Apollo X is a considerably more powerful device compared to it. This smartphone is made out of metal, and it comes with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. Its back side looks similar to the OnePlus 3(T)’s back side, to be quite honest, while its front side is relatively clean, does not have buttons on it or anything of the sort.
The Vernee Apollo X is actually quite a compelling smartphone in terms of specs. It comes with a 5.5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) IGZO display, which is made by Sharp, while the phone also packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card). The phone is fueled by the Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor, and a 3,500mAh battery is also included in this package, and it is not removable. Speaking of which, MediaTek’s Pump Express quick charging tech is also a part of this package, you’re getting 9V/2A (18W) fast charging here, which will charge up this phone in no time. The phone’s fingerprint scanner unlocks the device in 0.1 seconds, says Vernee, and this handset is equipped with two SIM card slots, one of which you can use in order to expand the Vernee Apollo X’s internal storage.
On the back of the Vernee Apollo X, you’ll be able to find a 13-megapixel camera (Sony’s IMX258 sensor), and on the front of the device lies a 5-megapixel snapper (Samsung’s ISOCELL sensor, S5K5E2). Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the phone, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Vernee’s VOS UI. A Type-C port is placed on the bottom of this smartphone, and the device offers 4G LTE connectivity option, of course.
