Galaxy S8 pre-orders on Rogers begin shipping out to customers as some have reportedly started receiving emails stating that the phones have just been sent out, which likely means that subscribers will soon be seeing these devices show up on their doorsteps. That being said the device may not necessarily end up arriving for those who pre-ordered earlier than it’s supposed to as it is Thursday and it’s heading into the weekend, with most devices expected to show up as early as April 17th according to some carriers. That means consumers should see the phones arriving sometime on this upcoming Monday, and those who didn’t pre-order will be able to walk into a store and buy the device next Friday.
Although it’s not likely, it’s also entirely possible that some consumers will see devices that were pre-ordered show up before the 17th so anyone who has placed a pre-order should keep an eye on their emails and their package arrivals just in case. With pre-orders in Canada at least from Rogers starting to make their way to customers, it’s unclear if Samsung will be sending those customers a free gift just as they seem to be doing for U.S. consumers who have placed a pre-order.
According to earlier reports, some consumers in the U.S. have been receiving an amplifier speaker dock with a thank-you note from Samsung for making the purchase of either a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+. So far there doesn’t seem to be any details of Canadian consumers getting the same treatment, nor if a gift would be the same product if Samsung does decide to send them out to consumers in that region. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are scheduled to hit most major networks across the globe next week after having been announced at the end of last month officially, both of which are coming in a range of different colors and mostly the same specs, save for the screen size as the Galaxy S8+ comes in a little bit bigger. If you’re a Rogers customer you can still pre-order either device though now that the phone is so close to launch the shipment is likely to happen later rather than sooner.
