Official: Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus Coming To India On April 19

Samsung has just confirmed that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are coming to India on April 19. We’ve been wondering when will the two phones land in India, and some Indian consumers have probably been eagerly expecting the launch of Samsung’s new flagship phones. Well, Samsung will host a press conference in that Asian country on April 19, which is, coincidentally, the same day that Xiaomi plans to introduce their new flagship in China, the Xiaomi Mi 6.

Samsung Mobile India shared this info on their official Twitter page, and if you’re interested in getting the Galaxy S8, Samsung India is offering you a chance to pre-register for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus news. As soon as some new info becomes official, Samsung India will e-mail you with the details, so that you’re ready to pick up the Galaxy S8 and / or Galaxy S8 Plus as soon as they launch in the country. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have been immensely popular as far as pre-orders are concerned, in only a couple of days, Samsung received over 700,000 pre-orders for their new flagship smartphones in Korea, their homeland. Pre-orders for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are currently crushing pre-orders for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, looking at the same period last year, of course. That being said, it’s still too early to say how successful will the two phones be for the company, but if pre-orders are anything to go by, many, many people plan to get their hands on the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus, and if Samsung manages to avoid Galaxy Note 7-like issues this time around, the Galaxy S8 devices could become their most successful flagships ever.

The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus handset are made out of metal and glass, and depending on the region, they’re fueled by either the Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835 processor. The two devices pack in 4GB of RAM, and both of them come with a 2960 x 1440 Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch panel, while the Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a 6.2-inch display.
