Xiaomi had introduced their new flagship smartphone today, the Xiaomi Mi 6, and we’ve already covered its main announcement. Xiaomi actually introduced the regular Xiaomi Mi 6 model in three color variants, and also two special edition variants, the limited edition Xiaomi Mi 6 Silver Edition, and a ceramic variant of the device. That being said, the Xiaomi Mi 6 resembles its predecessor quite a bit, and it has plenty to offer in the spec department, as it is fueled by one of the most powerful processors in the market at the moment, and it’s not exactly skimping out in other categories either. In any case, let’s take a closer look at the Xiaomi Mi 6’s specs, shall we.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 is made out of metal and glass, it sports an in-display fingerprint scanner, and there are two shooters included on the back of this phone. The phone sports a 5.15-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, depending on which variant you opt to purchase. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels the Xiaomi Mi 6, along with the Adreno 540 GPU for graphics. On the back of the Xiaomi Mi 6, you’ll be able to find two 12-megapixel snappers (telephoto lens + wide-angle lens, 4-axis OIS), along with a dual-LED, dual-tone flash. Xiaomi claims that the rear-facing camera shooters on the Mi 6 offer 2x lossless zoom, which is a nice touch. An 8-megapixel camera is available on the front side of the Mi 6, available for your selfie needs. The Mi 6 is splash resistant, and it does not sport a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is certainly something consumers won’t be glad to hear. On the left side of the Mi 6’s body, you’ll notice a SIM card tray, well, it hosts two SIM card slots on the inside, and the phone offers 4G LTE connectivity, of course. A 3,350mAh battery is included on the inside of the Xiaomi Mi 6, and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging is also a part of the picture.
Android 7.1 Nougat comes out of the box on this smartphone, along with the company’s MIUI 8 OS. The Xiaomi Mi 6 comes with dual speakers, one is placed on the bottom, while the other one lies above the display. On the bottom of the device, you’ll be able to find a Type-C USB port, and a noise canceling microphone. The Mi 6 comes in Black, White and Blue color variants, though a limited edition model will also become available, the aforementioned Xiaomi Mi 6 Silver Edition. In addition to all that, you can also get a ceramic variant of the Xiaomi Mi 6 which comes with camera rims made out of 18-karat gold. The Xiaomi Mi 6 measures 145.17 x 70.49 x 7.45mm, in case you were wondering.
