There has always been a number of ways in which you can contrast and compare smartphones. However, one of the more recent ones to end up under the spotlight, is the level of bezels that are on offer. Or another way of looking at it, how close it is to a bezel-less design. As a result, manufacturers do now seem to be racing to make as much use of the front panel of a smartphone as possible. Which is a trend that has now found its way into just about every level of the price spectrum.
One of the latest to join the bezel-less approach is BLUBOO, as this company is expected to launch its BLUBOO S1 smartphone soon. The big selling point being, its bezel-less display. However, unlike a number of the other options that have come through with a similar design approach, BLUBOO’s S1 is designed to offer the bezel-less experience on a budget. As the latest information coming through is that the BLUBOO S1 will come to market priced at only $150. What’s more, the BLUBOO S1 is now expected to become available to buy starting next month, in June. Along with the details on price and general availability, a couple of new renders (above and below) of the S1 have now become available. As they highlight, the S1 really is designed to offer an all-screen display. The sides are almost completely free of bezels while the top sports a minimal bezel level, and the bottom portion of the front panel sporting just enough of a bezel to house the included home button and fingerprint reader.
In terms of the rest of the specs, the BLUBOO S1 is expected to become available in more than one storage variant, with the main difference being the RAM count – a 4GB and a 6GB model. Although both versions are expected to come equipped with 64GB Internal storage, and be powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC. In terms of cameras, the BLUBOO S1 will make use of a rear dual camera setup that is spearheaded by a 16-megapixel primary camera, which is backed up by a secondary 3-megapixel camera. As to be expected, with a June launch period now being touted, more details will likely come through in due course.
