The 3D-printed Galaxy Note 8 had surfaced yesterday in a couple of images, and a video has now surfaced as well. The 3D-printed Galaxy Note 8 that leaked yesterday had been compared with the Galaxy S7 Edge in one of the leaked images, and needless to say, that is just a dummy phone, but it is, allegedly, showing off the real thing that is expected to launch later this year. In any case, those images have been taken from the video that we’re here to talk about, read on.
The embedded video down below has a duration of over four minutes, and in those four minutes you’ll be able to see the 3D-printed Galaxy Note 8 dummy from a number of angles, and the person who is showing off the device, is also talking about it, in English. This device has a vertically aligned dual camera setup on the back, and a dual-LED flash is placed below its cameras. Now, one thing you will notice on this phone, is that it is lacking a fingerprint scanner, or so it seems. Some of you probably recall that various reports surfaced when the Galaxy S8 launched saying that the device was supposed to launch with an in-display fingerprint scanner (well, it would be placed under the display) , but that didn’t happen because Samsung and Inventec needed more time to incorporate it, which is why it now has a rather odd placement on the back of the device. Well, the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to ship with such a fingerprint scanner, and if this 3D-printed model is anything to go by, the rumors are true.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to ship with a 6.3-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, well, at least according to some rumors, as other rumors hint that the phablet will sport an even larger display than that, mainly considering that the Galaxy S8 Plus sports a 6.2-inch panel. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 SoCs will be in charge of fueling the Galaxy Note 8 units, and the availability of these chips will be market-dependant, of course, consumers in the US will get the Snapdragon 835 version of the device, while the Exynos 8895 variant will be available in most other markets. A 3,700mAh battery is rumored for the Galaxy Note 8, and the device will ship with an S Pen stylus, of course. The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to launch in August, and chances are we’ll see a ton of new rumors and leaks in the coming months.
UPDATE: the video has now been removed, if we find an alternative source, we’ll make sure to reupload it.
