Galaxy Note 8 Surfaces Without A Visible Fingerprint Scanner

The upcoming Galaxy Note 8 phablet had already been a subject of many leaks, and two new images just surfaced. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you will see two real life images of what seems to be the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.The phone looks like the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus from the front, while its back side offers a completely different design, as it sports a dual camera setup, and no fingerprint scanner, read on.

The device seems to be made out of metal and glass, just like the Galaxy S8 phones, and as you can see, there is a vertically aligned dual camera setup placed on the back of the phone, while an LED flash is located below those cameras. The fingerprint scanner is not visible here, so it’s probably built into the display, which goes hand-in-hand with some previous rumors. The fingerprint scanner was supposed to be built into the display of the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus as well, but according to reports, there was not enough time to get it done, so the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to be the first Galaxy-branded phone to offer such technology. That being said, the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to launch in the coming months, quite probably August, if the company plans to stick to its Galaxy Note release cycle, as the Galaxy Note 7 landed in August last year.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will probably sport a display which is larger than 6.2 inches, as that is the size of the display used in the Galaxy S8 Plus. The Galaxy Note 8 will ship with the S Pen stylus, and chances are Samsung will release two SoC variants of this phone, one will be fueled by the Exynos 8895, while the other one will ship with the Snapdragon 835. The device will probably ship with 6GB of RAM, and Android Nougat will come pre-installed on it, along with Samsung’s custom UI. Having said that, alleged Galaxy Note 8 sketches leaked yesterday, and a rather sketchy image of the device itself popped up a couple of days ago as well, in case you’re interested in checking it out.
