Huawei Launches Watch 2 Classic in Stainless Steel & Black Leather

The Huawei Watch 2 Classic was announced back in February, and launched in the US last month. Now, the company is debuting a new model of the Huawei Watch 2 Classic. This one features a stainless steel casing, along with a black leather strap. This is a bit more high-end looking than the original Huawei Watch 2 Classic, which is likely a good thing, especially for those looking for a real successor to the original Huawei Watch. Huawei is selling this new version of the Huawei Watch 2 Classic for $369 on Amazon, B&H Photo and a few other retailers. That’s a bit higher than the regular Huawei 2 Classic, which clocks in at a price of $299.

The leather strap on the Huawei Watch 2 Classic is a 22mm band, which is quite common across smartwatches. It also means that you can swap in just about any band you want on this Huawei Watch 2 Classic. So if the black leather strap that comes with this one is not up to your standards, you can buy another one (there are plenty on Amazon that work with the Huawei Watch 2 Classic). And since the strap does not have a battery, like some other smartwatches, it’s really easy to swap out the bands or straps.

Huawei Watch 2 Classic has Android Wear 2.0, which is Google’s latest version of their wearables operating system. It’s a complete overhaul of the operating system, and it includes plenty of new features. One of the features that the Huawei Watch 2 Classic has over its predecessor is Android Pay. The smartwatch has NFC included, allowing you to simply pay with your wrist with ease. This is great because it means you won’t need to pull out your phone to use Android Pay.
