The Meizu PRO 7 has been leaking for a long time now, it seems like we see new Meizu PRO 7 renders every week, and one of Meizu’s executives has just reached to recently leaked images of the device. Back on May 27, two Meizu PRO 7 renders surfaced, and it was rather obvious that was just a concept design, but for one reason or the other, Meizu’s newly-appointed senior VP (Vice President) decided to comment on it, read on.
Meizu’s senior VP, Jeffery Yang (also known as Yang Zhe), confirmed that the Meizu PRO 7 is in the works, but that it won’t look anywhere close to the recently leaked renders. Mr. Yang specifically responded to the two renders we’ve mentioned earlier, both of which you can check out in the gallery down below. He said that the real Meizu PRO 7 will be ‘better, more elegant and beautiful’ than the third-party renders that have surfaced a couple of days ago. The two renders were created by a Meizu fan from Russia, which is not that surprising considering that Meizu is extremely popular in Russia, and we’re seeing quite a few such images leak there. As you can see, the device that was shared by Meizu’s fan looks like the iPhone 7 Plus on the back, and the Galaxy S8 on the front, and it actually looks really compelling because of it. Mr. Yang did not exactly offer any explanation to his words, but if the Meizu PRO 7 will, indeed, be better looking that the device shown off in these renders, then we can’t wait for it to be released.
The Meizu PRO 7 was actually expected to land last month, as its predecessor was announced back in April 2016, but that did not happen. We’re still not sure when will the Meizu PRO 7 see the light of day, but it seems like Meizu is trying to polish the phone before they release it, as the company did receive some criticism lately when it comes to their design. Meizu’s smartphones are really well built and everything, but they’re starting to look way too similar one to the other, and the company’s CEO said a while back that he wants them to differentiate more, especially the company’s flagship phones. All in all, the Meizu PRO 7 is expected to arrive in the coming months, we’re hoping that Meizu will reveal more info soon, stay tuned.
