New Xiaomi Mi 6 Color Variants Are Coming, TENAA Confirms

Back in April, a leaked TENAA listing revealed that a ton of new color variants are coming when the Xiaomi Mi 6 is concerned, and that listing has now officially appeared on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC). The Xiaomi Mi 6 was announced last month in black, blue, white and silver color variants, while a black ceramic variant of the phone was also announced. Well, a new TENAA listing confirms that a ton of new color variants are on the way, and if GizmoChina is to be believed, this could be a ceramic variant of the phone, read on.

Now, this handset appeared under the ‘MCT1’ model number, and the listing does not exactly mention that this is a ceramic variant of the phone, but it could be. Its back cover is highly reflective, and the device seems to be slightly curvier than the regular Mi 6 (check out the comparison down below), at least it seems to be based on the provided image. In any case, the ceramic variant of the phone is still not available for purchase in China, mainly due to the low capacity of ceramic CNC machining, not to mention that the Snapdragon 835 SoC is in shorty supply. The regular Xiaomi Mi 6 model is available for purchase, however, Xiaomi already hosted a couple of flash sales for the phone, and the company managed to sell out every single one Xiaomi Mi 6 device, a new flash sale is coming soon though. Now, according to TENAA, the device will be available in gold, gray, silver, white, black, pink, champagne gold, frosted black, dark gray, cherry blossom and blue color variants. Do keep in mind that it is possible that the source is referring to the regular Mi 6 model with a glass back, we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 has plenty to offer in terms of the design and specs, and it did great in a recent torture test, much better than its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi 6. The Xiaomi Mi 6 is made out of metal and glass, while it sports a 5.15-inch fullHD display, and 6GB of RAM. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor, and it comes with Android Nougat out of the box, with the company’s MIUI 8 OS on top of it.
