The Samsung Galaxy Note 7, in its refurbished condition, has now been spotted being listed for sale in China. According to the information coming through, it is not yet officially on sale, but it is in the preparation stages. As a result, a few more details on the rolling out of the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 are becoming known.
For instance, it seems, there are two models currently being highlighted in China, with each model differing in battery capacity, and aimed at a slightly different market. The first is the version which is due to become available to buyers in Europe, US, and elsewhere. This model comes with a 3,200 mAh battery, which represents a decrease in capacity compared to the 3,500 mAh battery that was originally included with the Galaxy Note 7. The second model on the other hand, seems to still come with a 3,500 mAh capacity battery. This model is seemingly designed with China in mind, and in spite of the same capacity, is reportedly free of the issues that plagued the original model. In terms of the price, one model is priced at 3,599 yuan (which works out to be just over $520) while the other comes in at 3,999 yuan (which works out to be just under $580). Although it is not clear which price is for which model, the assumption would be the bigger battery model attracts the bigger price.
While the Galaxy Note 7 will not become available to buy locally in all countries, it is starting to become clear that is getting closer to a proper release. Within the last day or so, other reports have emerged out of South Korea, highlighting that the Galaxy Note 7 is due to become available in South Korea towards the end of May or at the start of June. Although the reported cost of the refurbished model in South Korea is expected to be a little high than in China, with the price that has been suggested being $620. In either case, regardless of where you buy the Galaxy Note 7, it seems as though it will come with a nice and clear “R” on the back to denote that it is a refurbished – and therefore safe – variant. As shown below.
