UMIDIGI (formerly known as ‘UMi’) had released some really compelling smartphones recently, and the company’s upcoming flagship seems to be really interesting as well. The company’s UMIDIGI Crystal smartphone was announced with really thin bezels, and the device that you can see in an image above this article seems to be UMIDIGI’s upcoming flagship, at least if the tip we’ve received is accurate. The source did not mention what this phone will be called, but he did share some info about the device, read on.
This smartphone will be fueled by MediaTek’s Helio P30 64-bit octa-core processor, which is MediaTek’s upcoming mid-range processor, it is expected to be the company’s most powerful mid-range SoC, actually. This handset will ship with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage, and will sport a 5.7-inch display which will sport an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone will ship with a curved display, its sides will be curved, while the back side of the device will also be curved. A 16-megapixel shooter will be placed on the back of this device, and a 13-megapixel camera will be available on the front side of the phone. NFC will be included in this handset as well, which will make it the first UMIDIGI-branded phone to ship with NFC. That is pretty much all the info that was released when it comes to this phone, well, aside from the image that we’ve mentioned earlier, an image that is placed above the article.
Our source did not specifically say that this is the final design of UMIDIGI’s upcoming flagship, as this design actually looks more like a concept than anything else. There are no buttons on its right-hand side, which seems really odd, and the way the side is designed, it seems like this phone cannot be grabbed without touching the display. This is probably just one of UMIDIGI’s concept designs which will be changed before the device launches, but it is possible that the device will resemble this concept phone, at least to an extent. In any case, we’ll report back as soon as more info pops up, so stay tuned for that.
