The Android-powered Nokia 6 in a Silver color has been listed on the Yahoo Taiwan online store, carrying an NT $7,790 (approximately $260 after conversion) price tag. It is set to ship on May 10, the listing suggests. Just like in China, only the Black version of the Nokia 6 is currently available in Taiwan. Apart from the Silver variant of the device, the Nokia 6 is also offered in Arte Black, Matte Black, Tempered Blue, and Copper in select territories. Interestingly enough, the official Yahoo listing points to the dual SIM Silver Nokia 6 as running on Android 7.0 Nougat with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space, which is slightly different from what Nokia previously said about the device, though the remainder of the listed hardware specifications are in line with HMD Global’s recent announcement.
The Nokia 6 was announced in January this year, arriving with Android 7.1.1 Nougat right out of the box. Based on the official Nokia 6 product page, only the limited edition Arte Black model sports 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, while the other colors are set to be launched with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor is fueling the device, accompanied by a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB of additional memory, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual speakers, a smart amplifier with Dolby Atmos support, and a 3,000mAh battery. Security is further enhanced with a fingerprint sensor installed on the front of the device, while a 16-megapixel camera with dual-tone flash that is located at the back. On the front, the Nokia 6 sports an 8-megapixel sensor and a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display panel protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3.
While the Silver Nokia 6 is a week away before from being released, it is already sold out in Taiwan, its Yahoo listing reveals. Do take note that this particular product seems to be limited to those with a valid shipping address in the Far Eastern country, though it remains to be seen whether HMD Global opts to release the same device in more markets at a later date. More details on the matter might be available shortly.
