The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 had leaked several times thus far, and its metal shell just popped up and more or less confirmed the phone’s design. Every Xiaomi Mi Max 2 leak that surfaced lately had showed us pretty much the same thing, so we do think this is the final design of the device. Unfortunately, however, we only get to see the back side of the device here, and previous leaks were not any better in that regard, read on.
As you can see, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will be made out of metal, and it will sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner, while its branding will be located on the back as well. You can also notice a cutout for the phone’s main camera in the upper left corner, and next to it is a smaller cutout for an LED flash. This device’s antenna bands will be placed in the upper and lower portion of the phone’s back as well. Now, thanks to previous leaks, we know that all of the device’s physical keys will be placed on the right, and that the phone will ship with two sets of speaker grills on the bottom, though it will probably pack in only one speaker. A Type-C USB port will be placed in between those speaker grills, and chances are we’ll get a set of capacitive buttons on the front side of this smartphone. Xiaomi had already confirmed that the device will launch on May 25, which is tomorrow, and the device did surface on GFXBench a while back.
According to GFXBench, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will sport a 6.4-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. The device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 626 or the Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core SoC, while Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the device, along with the company’s MIUI 8 OS. A 12-megapixel shooter will be incorporated on the back of the phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper will be included on its front side. Now, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will be quite a big device, just like its predecessor, and it seems like it will resemble its predecessor in terms of the design as well.
