The Nokia 9 has been popping up on Geekbench like crazy recently, the 6GB and 4GB RAM variants of the device surfaced in the last week or so, and now yet another listing surfaced. If you take a look at the image down below, you will get to see the HMD Global TA-1012 smartphone, which, according to its specifications, suggests we’re looking at the Nokia 9, HMD Global’s upcoming Nokia flagship.
The device managed to score 2,237 points in the single-core benchmark, while it reached 7,587 points in the multi-core benchmark. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor will fuel this smartphone, along with the Adreno 540 GPU for graphics. This variant of the device packs in 4GB of RAM, and Android 7.1.1 Nougat will come pre-installed on the phone. This basically seems to be the same phone as the one that surfaced yesterday, but it comes with a different model number, TA-1012, while yesterday’s handset sported the TA-1052 model number. Having said that, it is still unknown when will the Nokia 9 get announced by the company, but it is expected to launch in the coming weeks / months, and become the most powerful Android-powered Nokia smartphone out there. The device is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch (or larger) QHD display, 4GB / 6GB of RAM and chances are it will ship with a 13-megapixel shooter on the back. The device will probably come with a non-removable battery on the inside, though we still do not know what size will its battery pack be, but it’ll probably be larger than 3,000mAh.
Rumors are saying that the Nokia 9 will cost around €650 – €700, but it is possible that the phone will be slightly more affordable than that, we’ll see. HMD Global had launched three Nokia-branded smartphones earlier this year, the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, and all of them are global smartphones, not limited to a specific market. All we can do at this point is wait for more info when it comes to the Nokia 9, so stay tuned for that, the phone will probably launch in the near future, though nothing has been confirmed just yet, so we’ll just have to wait for HMD Global to make its move.
