Galaxy Note FE Pops Up In Korea, Along With Specs & Pricing

The Samsung Galaxy Note FE has just popped up on Danawa’s website, Danawa is a Korea-based retailer, for those of you who did not know that. The Galaxy Note FE (FE stands for ‘Fandom Edition, and the device is also known as the Galaxy Note 7R) is actually a rumored name for the company’s refurbished Galaxy Note 7 handset, and the device has been listed on Danawa along with its specifications, and price point, of course.

Now, rumors have been suggesting that this phone will cost around 700,000 KRW ($625), and the phone is actually listed for that much money on Danawa’s website, well, almost, it’s priced at 699,600 KRW. Now, if this listing is to be believed, the Galaxy Note FE will be available through KT, LG U+ and SKT carriers in South Korea, and thanks to the listing, we now have the full spec sheet for this smartphone. Now, as predicted, the Galaxy Note FE sports a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED curved display, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage. The device is fueled by the Exynos 8890 64-bit octa-core processor, and a 3,200mAh battery is included on the inside of this smartphone. A 12-megapixel shooter is placed on the back of this phablet, and a 5-megapixel camera can be found on its front side. Android Marshmallow comes pre-installed on the device, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Samsung’s very own custom UI.

That being said, we’ve expected to see Android Nougat running on the Galaxy Note FE, but if this listing is to be believed, the device is shipping with Android Marshmallow for whatever reason. This device is more or less identical to the Galaxy Note 7, though there’s one major difference, the Galaxy Note FE comes with a smaller battery pack, the Galaxy Note 7 sported a 3,500mAh battery on the inside. This phone looks identical to the Galaxy Note 7, though, it’s made out of metal and glass, as expected. This phablet had been certified by the FCC, Bluetooth SIG and the Wi-FI Alliance, but Samsung still didn’t announce its official availability, that is something they are expected to do in the near future.
