A new Xiaomi-branded smartphone has just surfaced, and it comes with really thin bezels. Now, the source claims that this is the upcoming ‘full screen’ Redmi-branded handset, though we still do not know what will this model be called exactly. Back in June, a rumor surfaced claiming that the company plans to launch a ‘bezel-less’ Redmi-branded smartphone by the end of the year, and if this leak is to be believed, that might actually happen in the near future.
If you take a look at the provided images in the gallery down below, you will notice that this phone comes with really thin bezels all around, though we still do not know if the phone will sport black bars or not, as the display is turned off here. Black bars hopefully won’t be a part of the picture, or they’ll at least be extremely thin. All of the physical keys are located on the right-hand side of this phone, its volume up, volume down and power / lock keys. On the back of this phone, you will notice a dual camera setup, below which a dual-LED flash is placed, and also a fingerprint scanner. The company’s branding is also included on the back of this phone, as you can see. Now, the second image in the gallery had surfaced in the past, this is not the first time we’re seeing this exact same design, so who knows if this leak is accurate or not.
In any case, the source also claims that this phone’s display will sport an 18:9 aspect ratio, and that it could be a part of the Redmi Note 5 family. The device will probably be fueled by the MediaTek P25 or P30 64-bit octa-core SoC, while it is expected to sport 16 and 5-megapixel shooters on its back. A 4,000mAh non-removable battery is also rumored and the phone is expected to arrive in three variants. The most affordable model of this phone will, allegedly, sport 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the middle-of-the-road unit will come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The most expensive variant of the phone will sport 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. These three models are rumored to cost 999 Yuan ($150), 1,299 Yuan ($196) and 1,599 Yuan ($241), respectively.
