CAT S41 Rugged Android Phone On Sale In The US, Priced At $449

CAT today announced that its S41 smartphone has now arrived in the US. CAT has confirmed that the S41 is now available to buy directly from the CAT website, as well as from a number of retailers in the US, including Best Buy, eBay, The Home Depot, B&H, and Amazon, though the latter still doesn’t have it listed as of 9:50 AM PT. As for the cost, the company has confirmed the CAT 41 will be priced at $449 in the US.

In spite of only having now reached the US this was a phone that was first announced and introduced in August of this year – during IFA 2017 and along with another rugged option the CAT S31. As a result much of what is on offer with the CAT S41 has already been announced. However, in terms of its key selling points, and following in the footsteps of many CAT smartphones, this is one that is primarily designed to be a durable smartphone. Not just in its build quality, but also in its usage. As in addition to coming equipped with a waterproof and dust-proof body (thanks to its IP68 certification) and its MIL SPEC 810G tested body, the CAT S41 also comes loaded with a 5,000 mAh battery which the company states is capable of providing up to 38 hours of 3G talk time or keep powered for up to 44 days when in standby mode. In addition to also being able to act as a power bank to provide a charge to other devices when needed. Therefore, not only is the CAT S41 designed for those simply looking for a more rugged smartphone, but also those who work in less than ideal environments, or those that may require a more sturdy and reliable mobile experience at work.

As for the rest of the specs, the CAT S41 is designed to be a slightly smaller phone than you might find elsewhere due to its inclusion of a 5-inch display along with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Underneath, the CAT S41 is loaded with 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and is powered by a MediaTek octa-core processor (clocking at 2.3 GHz). When it comes to the cameras, a 13-megapixel camera can be found on the back of the device, while an 8-megapixel camera is located on the front. In addition, the CAT S41 also provides support for 4G LTE, VoLTE, microSD (up to 2TB), features a programmable shortcut key, and comes running on Android 7.0 (Nougat) out of the box.
