A short time ago Essential took to Twitter to announce that the white version of its Essential PH-1 (also know as the Essential Phone) is finally becoming available to buy. Along with the main announcement of the availability through its own store, Essential also confirmed that the Essential Phone would be available to buy through Amazon and Best Buy. At present, Amazon is now listing the white version and it does currently state a 1-2 month wait time on shipping, although that is expected to be updated in the very near future.
Other than the color change, there is not much else different between this version and the one that became available back in Mid-August. However, as some interested buyers will have been waiting for this particular color option to become available, this will be notable news for some. It is also worth noting that Essentially recently rolled out an update for the Essential Phone which looked to fix a number of camera-related issues found with the device. Essential has confirmed via the same Twitter posting that this version will have that update waiting for it when the user first powers on the device. So that will be something buyers will want to apply as soon as the device arrives.
As for a recap on what else is on offer with the white Essential Phone (besides the white color), this is a device that places bezel-less at the heart of its design. The display itself measures in at 5.71-inches and is helped along with a 2560 x 1312 resolution. Inside, buyers can expect the Essential Phone to come loaded with 4GB RAM, 128GB internal storage (no option to expand) and be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. On the camera side of things, the Essential Phone adopts another 2017 trending feature – dual rear cameras, with this setup consisting of two 13-megapixel cameras, along with the 8-megapixel camera located on the front of the device.
