LifeProof's Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL FRĒ Cases Are Now Available

LifeProof has introduced its very own cases for the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Now. LifeProof’s cases for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are kind of different than most other cases you’ll find out there, as they’ll protect your phones against water, drops, dirt and snow, which essentially means these are waterproof cases, and LifeProof actually markets them as such. These new cases belong in the company’s FRĒ line of cases, read on if you’re interested

These FRĒ cases will protect your Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones if you go under water, they basically boost the water protection that is already included with the phones, with one of LifeProof’s cases, you’ll be able to submerge the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL up to two meters below water’s surface, for up to two hours. You can also drop your phone and it should be okay, as long as the drop is not higher than 6.6 feet (2 meters). These cases come with a built-in screen protector, while dirt and snow are sealed out as all ports on these cases are closed. Having said that, LifeProof’s FRĒ cases come in two color variants, Fire Run and Night Lite, while you’ll need to splash out $89.99 if you’d like to get one. You can now get these cases from the company’s official website (source link down below), or over at Verizon Wireless.

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL handsets have been announced by the company earlier this month, they’re both made out of metal, with a hint of glass on the back. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels both of these phones, and the two devices ship with 4GB of RAM on the inside. The Google Pixel 2 XL has considerably thinner bezels than the Pixel 2, and it also comes with a considerably larger display. The Google Pixel 2 comes with a 5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display, while the Pixel 2 XL sports a 6-inch QHD+ (2880 x 1440) P-OLED panel. Both phones sport a 12.2-megapixel shooter on the back, while you will be able to find an 8-megapixel snapper on their front side.
