MyScript’s Nebo App Compatible With Google's Pixelbook & Pen

MyScript today announced that it has partnered with Google to ensure its Nebo application works to the best of its ability with Google’s new Pixelbook Chromebook. Further adding that the Nebo app can now be downloaded from the Google Play Store on the Pixelbook, as well as a number of other Chrome OS devices that support the use of a stylus.

MyScript already has a number of apps available on the Google Play Store and ones which are more squarely aimed towards devices that use a stylus, like for example the MyScript Calculator app which allows users to perform math on an Android device, using a stylus. The same can be said for the company’s Nebo app as this app looks to assist those looking to take handwritten notes and have those notes converted to a digital form. Something in particular that the Pixelbook is designed to take advantage off due to its compatibility with the equally new Pixelbook Pen stylus. As part of today’s announcement MyScript has not only explained that the Nebo app is compatible with the Pixelbook but also that the company has worked with Google to optimize the Nebo app to ensure it is tailored to work fluently with the new Pixelbook Pen. Which should mean that buyers of the Pixelbook will immediately be able to benefit from a more customized stylus experience when using the Nebo app. In short, no worrying about the app lacking in its ability to recognize strokes, curves, or suffering from any other handwriting-related issues.

The use of the Pixelbook Pen is only one of the features that is on offer with the new Pixelbook as this is being positioned as premium Chrome OS product due to its emphasis on specs, design and build quality. In addition to also being a device that is able to be used as a tablet as well as a traditional Chromebook, thanks to its inclusion of a rotating hinge. For those in the market for a new Chromebook and in particular a high-end model, Google also today announced that the Pixelbook is now available to pre-order from the Google Play Store.
