Samsung's POWERbot VR7000 Robot Vacuum Gets a Star Wars Edition

Samsung, today, announced that it had made a special edition of its POWERbot VR7000 robot vacuum, and it’s made specifically for Star Wars fans. There are essentially two models of the POWERbot here, one that is black to represent Darth Vader, and another that represents a Stormtrooper and it is in black and white. Samsung used custom premium materials to make these two models of the VR7000, so it looks unique and appeals to Star Wars fans. The Darth Vader model of the VR7000 actually comes with WiFi connectivity and its own remote control. And as an added bonus, it has unique sound effects that mimics its appropriate characters.

To make these special edition models of the VR7000 happen, Samsung worked with super fans of Star Wars, so that every detail was taken care of. This went through every part of the process from product planning, to design and even distribution. Samsung notes in its press release that this is a first of its kind approach to building and launching a product. And it is something that the company could end up doing again in the future if it is successful. And with it being a Star Wars themed product, it is very likely to be successful, with the new movie launching in a few months.

The VR7000 functionality is the same here as it is with the regular version, which means 10 watts of power for getting all of the dirt off of the carpet in your home. It does have an app that you can use to control the vacuum and have it clean where you need it too. It is able to hit the edges of the room without any issues and get all of the dirt out of the corners as well. The POWERbot VR7000 Star Wars special edition does not yet have any availability or pricing details. Samsung says that it will announce availability in the coming weeks, and that will be announced for each market. It will be coming to the US and the UK, and it will likely be priced similarly to the POWERbot VR7000, similar to how the Olympic model of the Galaxy S7 Edge was just a tad bit more expensive than the regular version here in the US.
