Xiaomi Intros 'Bezel-Free' Mi MIX 2 In India With 6GB Of RAM

Xiaomi has just announced its Mi MIX 2 flagship phablet in India. This phablet was originally announced by Xiaomi last month, and the company hosted a press conference in India today in order to announce the device’s arrival to the Indian smartphone market. This is essentially the same phone that Xiaomi announced last month, though it seems like only the regular model of the phone will be available in India, not the special edition one with a ceramic unibody build. Having said that, let’s see what this phone has to offer, shall we.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is made out of metal and ceramic, the device sports really thin bezels all around, and its display’s corners are rounded. The device sports a rear-racing fingerprint scanner, and a single camera on its back, while the phone comes with a ‘chin’ below its display. The Mi MIX 2 sports a 5.99-inch fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) display, which means we’re looking at a display with an 18:9 aspect ratio here. This phone’s ‘chin’ is 12 percent smaller than the one that was included in the Xiaomi Mi MIX, and the Mi MIX 2 is fueled by the Snapdragon 835, one of the most powerful processors currently available out in the market. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 comes with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. A 12-megapixel snapper (Sony’s IMX386 sensor, 1.25um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture) is placed on the back of this smartphone, while you will find a 5-megapixel camera on the phone’s front side. Android 7.1 Nougat comes pre-installed on the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and on top of it, you’ll be able to find Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 OS.

This smartphone comes with a 3,400mAh non-removable battery, while you’re also getting Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging here, in case you were wondering. This smartphone comes with two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), and the phone landed to India in a Black color variant. Having said that, this smartphone is priced at Rs. 35,999 in the country, and it will be available from Flipkart and Mi.com starting October 17, when it comes to its online availability, if you’d like to purchase the device offline, however, you’ll be able to do so via Mi Home and retail stores starting from the first week of November.
