ZeroLemon has been making extended batteries, battery cases and battery packs for quite a few years now. The company isn’t known for making “pretty” looking products, but making battery products with a ton of juice inside. And that’s exactly what it has done to the Amazon Echo Dot. The Echo Dot is not a portable speaker, and that’s due to the fact that it’s so small, but also because it is always listening for you to say “Alexa”. But ZeroLemon has made it portable with this 10,000mAh battery charging base for the Echo Dot, which is just $35.
This charging base is able to charge the Echo Dot, seeing as that is what’s made for, but it can also charge your smartphone or another device at the same time. It has a micro USB and a USB-C port available on the back. One you’ll need for connecting to the Echo Dot, since it doesn’t charge wirelessly – and that’s due to the way Amazon designed the Echo Dot. The other you can use for charging other gadgets. Which is a pretty nice feature to include here. There is also a set of four LED lights on the back, which will indicate how much juice is left, which is the case with most battery packs these days, so not a surprise to see it there, but definitely a nice addition. ZeroLemon says that this base can give the Echo Dot up to an additional 10-15 hours of runtime. Remember there is no battery inside the Echo Dot, so it is going to be running solely on the charging base, which is why the runtime is a bit lower than you may have expected.
ZeroLemon’s new 10,000mAh charging base is available in both black and white, so it’ll match the color of the Echo Dot 2nd generation.
